Greetings from the studio in Siler City, North Carolina. Erin and I are working hard to create the new Scenic Roots album! We are working with Daniel and Levi at the Red Squared Audio Studio!
Would you like to know a few song titles that will be on the new CD? Sure you do
Stray Dogs and Alley Cats, You don’t have to Move that Mountain, and Jenny’s Chickens to name a few!
Erin and I enjoyed some beautiful fall colors as we drove from Tennessee into North Carolina. I’m hoping that when we drive up to Richmond, VA this weekend we will see even more.
I’m trying to decide what you might want to know about life on the road.
1. my leg bends, yes and I even ran on accident the other day, you see it was raining and cold outside and I just ran my little self to the van then I was like, WHAT I just ran…SWEET!
2. ever wonder how sisters keep the peace on the road, well one way is that every other time we need shampoo we trade. You see I like fruity shampoo and erin likes the kinds that smell like flowers or mint….so last time it was my turn and we got green apple shampoo, but we’re almost out, so here soon I’ll be smelling like I have breath mints in my hair.
3. This has been the first trip we’ve taken where we’ve had an espresso machine on board….LET ME tell you that it is AMAZING! I’m sitting here in our hotel room with a nice hot cup of coffee and it didn’t cost me $4.00!
Let’s see, do you know anyone who lives in Tucson Arizona? I”m needing to fill in just a couple more shows there on a sunday-tuesday the second week of November. Any ideas?????
Life is good on the road, Erin and I tell each other almost everyday how lucky we are and how fun life is. We are excited to report that we’ve made new 2012 goals. We will see how we do with that!
As you can see I didn’t really have anything to say, I just thought it was time for a new blog. Sorry folks.
We have been posting silly video footage from the studio if you want to see them check them out on youtube.
See you down the road!
