Too Long

Tuesday, August 23, 2011

I have been a very bad blogger, I’m sorry I’ve neglected this duty for so long.
I’m back on track now though!
We have had a very busy couple of months here on the plains of Kansas. I’ve been home for about 3 weeks now and I’m really enjoying myself. I love sleeping in the same bed, cooking in the kitchen and even pulling pesky weeks in the yard. The weather has been tolerable. Not TOO terribly hot for Kansas.
Erin went to India and I got to be a lonely office gal. I decided when she got back that she’s never allowed to leave right before a big release EVER again. Speaking of release have you seen our new video? If not you MUST!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEnM05YJRLo You can also buy the song on your favorite online markets like iTunes and Zune. Getting ready to release that was a big adventure. It turned out well in the end though!

I’ve also been doing some painting. I LOVE painting. Our office has a new wall color and our office bathroom is teal and brown now. Hopefully later this week I can paint our main bathroom orange :)! We tend to like color around this place.

Scenic Roots business is great. Thanks to everyone who’s calling and e-mailing to book gigs. YIKES it’s wonderful! I have lots of ideas for 2012 but I’m not sure I’m allowed to spill the beans on these fun ideas yet. BLAST I’ve never been good at keeping secrets.

A few fun things coming up, this Sunday I’ll be entering the Kansas State Fiddling Championships. Then next Tuesday I’m having surgery on my leg to hopefully fix my foot problems. YAH! Winfield is about 2 weeks away so we’re looking forward to camping out and playing a few gigs along the way. Fall tour is coming right up, there will be more information on that coming in the next few days.

Things are busy but I’m sure happy! I’ll do my best to write more frequently!

Thanks for reading and I’ll see you down the road,

Amber
