Scenic Roots

Amber officially graduated from Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood Academy on April 21, 2007. She received her diploma and special awards from Mr. Rogers--teacher and Mrs. Rogers--principal. Following the ceremony was a contra dance and jam session. Amber plans to attend South Plains College in Levelland, TX to major in Bluegrass fiddle (part of their commercial music program). She will be dragging Erin down there with her to major in bluegrass mountain dulcimer-- a first at SPC. The girls will become "Lady Texans" and probably take Texas by storm with their energetic musical talent. Amber had her senior recital on April 22. She performed on piano, fiddle, banjo, and vocals, letting Doug and Erin join in on some of it. She also had 4 fiddle students and 4 piano students who performed. Plus, the bell choir she has been directing played 2 pieces. We're real proud of Amber and all her students.
